About

I am the technical co-founder of eSerbisyo, where we build document services for Philippine barangays. The problem it solves is unglamorous and real: residents queue at a counter for a clearance, staff re-type the same details into a logbook, and there is no reliable way to tell a genuine document from a photocopy. eSerbisyo turns that into a form, an approval trail, and a QR-verified PDF anyone can check.

How I taught myself

The stack I work in is largely one I taught myself. Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL and n8n are not something a program handed me; they are what the work required, learned in the order it turned out to be needed. I would rather say that plainly than let a list of technologies imply a training I did not have.

It stopped being a list because I was working inside it. I have done freelance automation work on Upwork from 2024 onward, and I have worked as an infrastructure consultant over the same years — engagements where the automation either holds up on its own or it does not.

The year I skipped

I skipped a year, went up to Grade 12, and graduated with high honors.

The strand I took to get there was humanities and science — HUMSS, from 2024 to 2026 — rather than computer science. So none of the stack above came out of a classroom.

What I build

Most of my work is operations infrastructure and the automation underneath it — turning manual, repetitive friction into background operations nobody has to supervise. That means workflow engines, human-in-the-loop verification, and the unglamorous plumbing that keeps both working on an unreliable connection.

Concretely, that has been an offline-first record-keeping system for barangay local governments, an end-to-end encrypted file-sharing service that needs no accounts at all, a Telegram assistant that turns natural language into scheduled reminders over a vector-backed knowledge base, and a self-hosted pipeline that automates the issuance of police clearances. The common thread is document and workflow plumbing for institutions that still run on paper. Each is written up under the projects.

Day to day that is mostly TypeScript — Next.js and React at the front, Node behind it — with PostgreSQL, Appwrite, n8n and Docker underneath.
